To accomplish the goals of the study, the following were done:

• Data collection, to define the nature of the study area (topography, geology, geomorphology, soil, hydrology, and hydrogeology, also climatology).
• Field investigation to measure:
  • radioactivity of exposure
  • collect soil samples
  • collect surface and groundwater samples
  • check other data
• Lab. Testing using high purity germanium detector.
• Mathematical modeling and reverse analysis of radionuclides dispersion and transformation in air, soil, and water to define their concentrations during 1991.
