To accomplish the goals of the study, the following were done:
- Data collection, to define the nature of the study area (topography, geology, geomorphology, soil, hydrology, and hydrogeology, also climatology).
- Field investigation to measure:
- radioactivity of exposure
- collect soil samples
- collect surface and groundwater samples
- check other data
- Lab. Testing using high purity germanium detector.
- Mathematical modeling and reverse analysis of radionuclides dispersion and transformation in air, soil, and water to define their concentrations during 1991.
