Courageous armed forces, pinnacle of glory and our upholders in adversity and combats, and whenever our march needs grand willpower so that, God willing, our edifice becomes higher, our glory greater and our crossing over achieved.

Revolutionaries and Mujahidins

Here comes a new anniversary of your revolution that adds yet another bright star to your sky in which God exalted you by way of your glorious revolution. You celebrate the advent of the revolution and its new anniversary galvanizing your verve, reorganizing your ranks to enhance your march and to enlarge, deepen, extend your wisdom and patience, rendering them more effective.

Iraqi people,

You are the source of your pride, the succor of every honest and free man who calls upon you, and the defenders of all aggrieved people. You have been just as I imagined you in the year we are bidding farewell to, but I have come to have a new perception of you, the advanced standards of which are based on your high level of fervor toward Palestine, your people, and your Quds (Jerusalem) in Palestine, in addition to your other stands. Am I not right, dear beloved ones, to draw my perception of, and my hope in you on the basis of your earnestness in construction, succor, patience, sacrifices and glory.

God bless you all, for you have maintained your faith in God and you have pursued your virtues in all your action, the forefront of which is your great stand of defense you have taken to repulse the villains’ schemes and to disillusion their abject wishes?

Yes, by God you are the people of sublime distinction that exalts faithful men.

Great Iraqi people … Glorious men and women,

Writing this address to you, I asked myself: does destiny choose for people the roles they play? Or do people themselves choose their roles in the light of what exalts or diminishes the faith, awareness, and the verve of this or that man amongst them?

Let me point out the gist of what I want to say: being the living essence and the authentic representatives of the Arab nation, did the Iraqis choose their role, or is it destiny that chose their role for them, after having shown their preparedness and their fervor and mindfulness?

When we look deep into the background of any result attained before giving it the marks it deserves, and before saying anything about it, we must first say that we think that, being the advanced example of their Arab nation at this stage, the Iraqi people have taken a stand which is the result of a ravishing mixture of the destiny’s choice for them and their own preparedness to play their role in line with God’s will to make the Arab nation the forerunner of humanity in all commendable deeds.

Hence we understand that, after believing in God’s faith, man chooses his role, and declares his faith. Then he works in such a way that reminds him of his duties, history and role. Destiny chooses the roles people play only when they rouse from their lethargy, be mindful of their roles and of the patience and sacrifices their action requires to become fruitful.

The spur of your verve, mindfulness, and determination to undertake your role is your authentic history, your stand, your role within the Arab nation and the role of the Arab nation within you. You have carried faith to your Arab nation, in one of your roles. Then came your nation of the descendants of Abraham (peace be upon him ) to play another role, to undertake whatever novelty or renewal God wanted.

One might ask: why are the Iraqis recalling their role now and not before or after? Here, too, interferes the will of destiny in the choice, the maturity of man’s mindfulness, his high verve, perspicacity, wisdom, and agility at the moment, so that things can be decided, God willing. Hence was the revolution with all its events and subsequent development including our present day situation.

Dear Iraqis,

A seed does not grow but at a certain time and a certain season. If it ever grew at the wrong time, it wouldn’t bear fruit even if it flowered and blossomed. If it did bear fruit, the fruits would be of a kind to which the soil or the seeds are not used to. Consequently the seeds would fall into lethargy to recover its capability of growing, flowering, blossoming and bearing fruit according to the quality of the soil along with other factors. It is just like when some trees shed their leaves, staying alive only at the minimum level of being. After a period of lethargy they regain life in their proper seasons and after bringing together their capabilities during their lethargy in order to peruse their role and mission.

Iraq has gone through something like this metaphor taken from nature. The moment of the role destiny chose for you coincided with the moment of the role you chose for yourselves, after a long period of lethargy. This is why your verve was so great that God has bestowed upon you and your Arab nation glory and grandeur.

Iraqi men and glorious women,

Great people and army,

Its your historic opportunity, and along with it, your Arab nation’s opportunity in as much as the role you play within your nation and your nation’s expectations of you.

Dear Iraqi people,

What can we tell you about your revolution, you who are its authors, guides, source of its capabilities and verve along with your great faith?

Shall we tell you how Iraq was and how it has become now?

Can anyone in an address of an occasion like this, elaborate upon how Iraq was on the eve of 17-30 July revolution in all walks of life, and upon what it has become now? shall we tell you how the evil forces were mobilized against the revolution, and how they resorted to the most debased schemes to deter the revolution and discourage its authors from their choice and route ?

Can anyone enumerate the types, history, and the level of achievement that have reached every household, cottage and family?!

Shall we say that a great number of our Iraqi people were barefooted, and only few of them thought that their life would be better the next day? Should we compare the number and the level of students in schools now and before? Should we talk about what we used to manufacture and how and what we used to import, from which countries and how? Or should we count down the number of workers in the countryside, and in the industrial and services sectors compared to their numbers now despite the unjust blockade?!

Should we mention the high level of the standard of living of the Iraqis prior to the build-up of the forces of the evil and the mobilization of their fire against Iraq in a timing and a way that made them think that they would indubitably destroy Iraq, its people, inspirations, role, and destiny?! No, I will not burden you with these details, because you already know them. You are the people of all virtues, stands, and verve that have carried Iraq to the summit. Your enemies, before your friends, know now who Iraq is, and how is its faith, determination, verve, stands, and capabilities. But, we say to the Arabs and friends, and by so doing we will exasperate our enemies and please our friends and brothers: the reason behind all that took place against Iraq and its revolution is that Iraq made its choice on the national, pan-Arab, and international levels when its great faith reached its summit, to be totally free , to play its role and to be firmly settled on its route. Any contrary action would not curb the Iraqi people’s will, after having seen its route and after the fact that not only the vanguard, but all the Arab nation have come to know that this route is the route of true freedom and the route that safeguards our dignity that no Iraqi or authentic Arab would have it stigmatized or touched upon by whosoever .

We are arriving, with the help of God the Almighty, at what pleases our friends and strikes our enemies with one disappointment after another. Our willpower and our capability to build and to make better choices, are with the help of God, stronger now than before the beginning of the confrontation in the eternal Um Al-Marik (Mof all Battles).

Although petroleum is an essential part of our great national resources, it is not the basis of our potential and willpower, and it will certainly not be a doorway to weakness in us, nor a breach in the fortifications of our country or in the patriotism, fervor, and the virtues of this loyal people of Mujahidins.

Nevertheless, we must tell you, men and glorious women, of the great people of Iraq that you are part of a great nation, and that the values of the grand role you represent for your great nation have blossomed in you. They are not the fountainhead of hope for the Arab nation only, but for part of humanity as well. The enemies’ schemes to get hold of the spirit of the Arab nation can not be achieved, God forbid, but by humiliating you. God the Almighty, the Merciful, will disgrace them. Your enemies, the smaller ones, their servants and attendants, and the bigger ones are still contriving against you. Their despondent designs, before they breathe their last, continue, and the Zionist malignancy continues to support and encourage them on evil doing. They are hoping that in this way they will domesticate the Iraqi people and be able to decide what and how much this great people eat and drink before, God forbid, slaughtering them. May God disgrace them. The illusion of your enemies reflects their despair, and is still leading them to forget their qualities, just as they have forgotten the qualities of the noble and dauntless Arabs, and consequently fell into the trap of your heroic people in Palestine, of the heroes of the resistance in Lebanon, and before that in the trap of the revolutions in Iraq, Egypt, Algeria, and on all the Arab territories.

Dear Iraqis , dear Iraqi glorious women ,

You are the fountain of willpower and the wellspring of life, the essence of earth, the sabers of demise, the pupil of the eye, and the twitch of the eyelid. A people like you cannot but be, with God’s help. So be as you are, and as we are determined to be. Let all cowards, piggish people, traitors and betrayers, be debased .

Dear beloved ones, speak to those abject evil doers in one voice . Show them the fervor that God has bestowed on you so much that even sore eyes can see it just as you did in all the vicissitudes of the revolution and the people’s combats. Confirm, not by reverberating voice but by your grand verve, your statement that you are the people of Iraq, the people of a great history and stands that you are the cranium of Arabs, their conscience, their indefatigable swords and willpower, and that you are the mentors of the world not its domestic fowls. Speak out strongly, and do the same thing you did before confirming your statements with the action they require. You are the people of construction, virtue and principles, capable of confronting and ascending all difficulties. Those who fight you will gain nothing but disappointment and defeat. With God’s help, your enemies’ schemes will end up in abyss, and your fervor and willpower will not diminish. God is with you and no one but the devil will be with your enemies. Those who are befriended by the devil will end up in hell whereas victory will be the lot of the patient and faithful believers.

God is the Greatest .

Arab nation…best family and best home,

You are the best people in faith and in rising. You are the conscience of humanity and their mentor. You are the people upon whom God bestowed all goodness. You are the instructors of the great lessons of chivalry, sacrifice for great principles, and enjoying victory within yourselves when you are right, prior to attaining victory in its field, by God’s help .

Rise up dear ones for whom we are ready to sacrifice anything, except honor and our stands of honor. Say to your enemies, the enemies of our Arab nation who are the foul Jewish usurpers, their covetous allies, and all the colonialists and their abject servants: stop abusing the Arab nation, the nation of prophets and God’s messengers. It is now the right time to say this and to work on it, for the situation has become intolerable, and injustice has settled down and reached its climax. Now it is the right time for you to seize your opportunity to be and to play the role God chose for you, otherwise, the enemies of Arab nation will inflict more injustice and tyranny upon you, instead of being thanked by the good peoples of the world, after thanking God and his prophets. God will stand up for the believers who stand by Him, and will bestow glory upon the courageous Mujahidins and all free and honest men who fight for the freedom of their countries.
