National Assembly comments on Kuwaitis reactions
Baghdad, Dec. 9, INA
In the name of God, most Gracious,
most Merciful
Iraq News Agency (INA) has met a
spokesman of the National Assembly to ask him about his comment on the
statement related to Abdul Rahman Al-Atiyya, Secretary General of the
Cooperation Council of the Arabian Gulf countries, and was published in
"Al-Rai Al-A'm" daily in Kuwait.
The statement pointed out that
President Saddam Hussein's speech does not reflect peaceful intentions
and calming spirit, especially when it does not agree with the
resolutions of Beirut Summit with regard to Kuwait's security and
independence.
Abdul Rahman Al-Atiyya added that
the Cooperation Council rejects the inciting logic, which the speech
implied and its encouragement of terrorist acts, which have recently
been befallen in Kuwait and the Kuwaiti government condemned them.
The spokesman of the National
Assembly commented as saying:
We are glad that Mr. Abdul Rahman
Al-Atiyya has just remembered the resolutions of Beirut Summit. And that
it included resolutions that have based on the formal Arabic will.
However, Doesn't Mr. Al-Atiyya feel ashamed for not remembering this
Arabic will and its resolutions before now? And that he does not
remember them except when he speaks about the Kuwait's security and
independence alone? Haven't the Beirut Summit's resolutions included
respect of Iraq's security and sovereignty? What does the latest
behavior of the Kuwaiti officials mean when they contact with the
agents? And doesn't that also mean that the Kuwaiti officials work
against Iraq's security and sovereignty, and in the end, against
Beirut's Summit and its resolutions?
What does Mr. Abdul Rahman say
about the daily air raids, which the US and Britain launch from the
Kuwaiti military bases and across its space to kill the Iraqis and
destroy their properties? Doesn't that mean mutiny and disrespect to the
Beirut Summit and its resolutions? And even the Arabs' will as well as
the will of the International Community except for the US and British
will? Or else Mr. Al-Atiyya does not see Iraq's security, sovereignty
and independence important?
If he does not see this, then
people of Iraq do so and regard them essential to their lives and that
Iraq did not exceed the resolutions of Beirut Summit but it complied to
them even on the level of media, while the Kuwaiti rulers did not comply
to them even to their lowest limit.
If Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Atiyya
thinks that the American forces that invade Kuwait and launch from its
bases to destroy Iraq's properties and kill the innocent people and
those concerned are planning to occupy Iraq, God damn them, then we , in
Iraq and in the whole Arab Nation, believe that it is an honor and duty
for every Arab believer to face up these forces. And that those who are
killed among them are damned while those who are killed among the
resisting groups are brave martyrs.
May God, be merciful to our
martyrs, the dutiful martyrs of the Arab Nation and God may damn every
criminal aggressor and those who betray God and their nation. |
