Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic saw on Tuesday Russian Prime Minister Yevgeny Primakov heading the Russian state leadership's delegation on a visit to Belgrade. The delegation included Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov, Defence Minister, Marshal Igor Sergeyev, the director of the intelligence service, Vyecheslav Krupnyikov and the head of the chief intelligence administration of the Russian General Staff, Valentin Corabelynikov. The Yugoslav delegation included Serbia's President Milan Milutinovic, Foreign Minister Zivadin Jovanovic and Defence Minister Pavle Bulatovic. Prime Minister Yevgeny Primakov conveyed to President Milosevic best regards from President Yeltsin. The top Russian state leaders also conveyed the strong support and expressions of solidarity of the Russian nation for the Yugoslav nation in its defence from the aggressor. They most severely condemned the brutal aggression against FR Yugoslavia as a criminal act violating the UN Charter and international law. At issue is extreme self-will and abuse of Nato's military power endangering international peace and security and dealing the hardest blow to international order after World War Two. The Russian nation calls for an immediate cessation of Nato's brutal aggression against FR Yugoslavia and requires the Russian leadership to see to it this is done without delay. Peace should be restored in Yugoslavia and the greatest threat to European security removed.

President Milosevic said that with the aggression war had been imposed on this country and added that the nation, armed forces and leadership were unyieldingly united in the defence of inalienable national interests. He also said the following: "The peoples of Yugoslavia are resolutely opposed to the criminal Nato aggression. Our heroic nation has proved they cannot break us with the power of arms. We are prepared to defend our country till the end. This is not the first time that Yugoslavia must defend its freedom and right to sovereignty, territorial integrity and national dignity. We are confident and determined to stand this trial this time.

Undoubtedly the problem in Kosovo-Metohija should be solved but it can be solved only by political means. Therefore, the solution can only be reached by political means and not thousands of tons of bombs. We remain strongly in favour of a political solution through negotiation and we wish that a constructive approach be pushed to the forefront. At this moment, in order to pave the way for a political solution, the aggression against Yugoslavia must be brought to an end. To prove that I and the Yugoslav leadership are sincerely intent on solving the Kosovo-Metohija problem by peaceful means and talks, we will accept Russia's proposal for reducing the presence of part of the forces stationed in Kosovo-Metohija for the purpose of defending from the aggression when the bombing stops.

It goes without saying that security and the success of political solutions in Kosovo-Metohija depend on the suspension of Nato's support for Kosovo separatists who have set off on the road of terror and reinstate the situation in the region in that which preceded the building up of Nato troopsalong Yugoslavia's borders. It is with the cessation of the aggression that conditions will be created in Kosovo-Metohija for peace to be established immediately which is the vital interest of all peace-loving citizens regardless of their national or religious affiliation. All of them are the citizens of this country who have the equal right to live in peace and stability. Instead of sitting in shelters, roaming like refugees or fleeing to other countries, they should freely return to their homes. The commitment to the political process is aimed at guaranteeing equality and peaceful life within the united Serbia and independent, sovereign Yugoslavia to all national and religious communities in Kosovo-Metohija. We are sending this message to the outer world as well trusting that it will be correctly understood. Our belief is solidified by the firm stand of Russia, China, India and a large number of other nations and countries supporting Yugoslavia at this difficult moment.

The end of Nato's aggression and a peaceful solution is of utmost importance for the future of the Balkans which is on the brink of a new explosion. The visit of the Russian delegation with Prime Minister Primakov at its helm during the aggression against this country, should affirm efforts being invested in the future of the Balkans and Europe being directed towards peace instead war. Yugoslavia will never renounce its freedom; its only choice is to defend from any aggressor and it will be strongly supported by Russia to this end.

Commenting on the aggression against Yugoslavia, Russian President Boris Yeltsin said onslaughts continued which was contrary to the UN Charter and common sense.

People are being killed and the principles of international law are endangered, the Russian head of state said and dismissed as impermissible the use of force and violation of the generally-accepted norms of international togetherness. According to him, the Balkan crisis calls for Russia's balanced activities. He said he was confident he was doing everything in his power to curb the aggressor's war operations against Yugoslavia and to this end, he had dispatched a high-profile delegation headed by Yevgeny Primakov. We are endeavouring to foil a new rift in the world, Yeltsin said and repeated Russia's principled stand that the resolution of disputed issues and conflicts should be sought by political means.

The most important thing at this moment is for the NATO aggressor urgently to put a halt on all bombardments of Yugoslavia, it was officially stated in Beijing on Tuesday.

It is only in this way that peace and stability can be renewed in the Balkan region, emphasized the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, Sun Yusi. In this way, he rejected the insane theses of the aggressor's propaganda machinery that the bombs and missiles being unloaded on civilian facilities have been undertaken in the name of alleged peace and humanitarian goals. As far as the refugees are concerned, they appeared after the NATO aggression, said Sun, obviously not supporting the brutal twisting of matters related to the events in Kosovo-Metohija. Sun on several occasions emphasized that the international community's priority task was promptly to put a halt on NATO's aggression against Yugoslavia. The Chinese diplomat said that China and Yugoslavia, as two friendly countries, kept in regular contact and often exchanged opinions.

On Tuesday morning, the enemy aviation launched two missiles which hit the Pristina Kosovski Junaci barracks and damaged the surrounding civilian facilities. The barracks has been the constant target of the death-dealing Nato aircraft ever since the out-break of the attacks against FR Yugoslavia. There are no reports of possible casualties. The impact of the US cruise missiles which the NATO aggressor's forces have been targeting the territory of FR of Yugoslavia since March 24, has shown that they are not by far as precise and lethal as claimed to be by their creators, Russian military experts claim.

The estimation of the Russian experts is also confirmed by a statement of the commander of the Air Force and Anti-Aircraft Defence, Colonel General Spasoje Smiljanic, who said that out of the 400 missiles launched from ships in the Adriatic and strategic bombers, 30 "tomahawks" were downed, whereas human losses and material damage is minimal.

Yugoslav border guards on Monday hindered a group of around 50 terrorists from illegally crossing over to this country from Albania at the Djakovica border crossing, Serbian Radio and Television reports.

It is stated that, in the clash, Yugoslav border guards liquidated 13 terrorists and made the rest of them flee to the Albanian territory. All terrorists wore NATO's uniforms or carried German flags. Members of the Yugoslav Army seized a large quantity of arms, ammunition and military equipment.

On Monday evening, Albanian terrorists attacked the village of Muzevina in the municipality of Istok in Kosovo-Metohija.

The terrorists launched sniper, automatic and mortar fire on the Serbs who responded coercing the attackers to withdraw. Members of the special British military unit SAS and special forces of other Nato member-countries joined Albanian terrorists in Kosovo-Metohija, military analysts of Sky television claim. The special units set out various misinformation, falsehoods and manipulations about the situation in Kosovo-Metohija which are spread by the media throughout the western world, Tanjug reports.

The US aggressor is in direct connection with the terrorists in Kosovo-Metohija and this is no longer concealed in washington, Tanjug reports.

One of the most militant hawks in Clinton's coterie, Madeleine Albright, spoke on the phone with the notorious terrorist, for whom a warrant has been issued, Hashim Thaqi. This was confirmed by James Rubin, who described the US official's conversation with the terrorist as a "briefing", i.e. as receiving information "from the horse's mouth". Rubin did not explain what Albright had told the terrorist who has found shelter in Albania, however, Reuters reveals that Washington's protegee has given Albright encouragement to continue the operation.

Spanish socialists and the United Left have requested Parliament to revise the Spanish position in the NATO aggressor's alliance, following its criminal attack against Yugoslavia.

The leader of the socialists, Jose Borell, and the spokesman for the United Left, Felipe Alkars, accused the government of blindly listening to imperialist America and inflicting damage to the Spanish interests. The socialist candidate for the next Prime Minister, Jose Borell, says that the incumbent PM, Jose Maria Asnar, must on Tuesday already explain whether it was necessary to attack Yugoslavia.

Yugoslav Deputy Prime Minister Zoran Lilic has addressed a letter to the chairman of the World Jewish Congress, Edgar Bronfmann.

Over the past few days, Nato has applied the most advanced war technology to bomb hundreds of military and civilian facilities in FR Yugoslavia, which is unrecorded in history so far. Hospitals, schools, kindergartens, populated areas, cultural and historical monuments, religious and civilian facilities have not been spared either. The Jewish and Serbian nation, he recalled, have committed to their collective memory that part of the history of horror that befell them in World War Two. It is on this joint plight that lasting and unforgettable friendship and understanding between our two nations was forged. We ask you to use your great authority to end this unheard of madness in human history so far and salvage my nation, it was said in Lilic's letter to the president of the World Jewish Congress, Edgar Bronfman.

NATO must stop supporting and encouraging Albanian terrorists in the crimes they are committing throughout Kosmet, and artificially creating a large number of refugees, Federal Deputy Prime Minister Vuk Draskovic told the Associated Press news agency.

Throughout the world, protests against NATO's criminal aggression against Yugoslavia continue, in support of the Yugoslav citizens.

The Foreign Minister of Egypt, Amr Musa, said that the resolution of the problems in Kosovo-Metohija should be reached by the United Nations and Security Council, since it is within their jurisdiction, and expressed his hope that NATO's air strikes on FR Yugoslavia would cease immediately. Professor of Yale University Michael Parenti assessed that the US did not want Yugoslavia as an alternative to a servile and obedient Europe and therefore was using all means in efforts to eliminate Yugoslavia. According to professor Parenti, the US does not actually want to curb narco-mafia and terrorism, but to control the entire international drug market and to use terrorists to carry out dirty work. In Great Britain, a real propaganda war is blazing, in which Tony Blair's government is obviously trying to silence the commentators and prominent individuals who are against NATO's aggression on Yugoslavia. Leader of the Scottish National Party and MP in British parliament, Alex Salmon, has publicly condemned aggression and called on NATO immediately to cease bombing FR Yugoslavia. The TIMES's commentator says that it is unavoidable to acknowledge that NATO's catastrophic arrogance was responsible for the situation in Kosovo-Metohija and for the faith of the citizens of this Serbian province. The president of the Union for French Democracy, Francois Bayrou, said that an increasing number of the French doubt that entering a war against Yugoslavia was justified. He implied that French president Jaques Chirac should at this moment be in closer contact with his nation. Protest rallies against NATO's criminal actions against the citizens of Yugoslavia have been held in Nikosia, New Delhi and Lisbon.

The Union of Bulgarian Young Socialists, a branch of the Socialist Party of Bulgaria, on Tuesday condemned NATO's criminal aggression against FR Yugoslavia and announced that the young people of Greece, Macedonia, Romania and Bulgaria will organize in sign of solidarity with the people of Serbia and Montenegro, who are targets of NATO's aviation. The most prominent universities and faculties from China sent their support, and a great number of Chinese citizens has contacted the Yugoslav embassy in Beijing. An organization called "NO WAR" in France has launched a drive for collecting 100 000 signatures to an appeal entitled THE EUROPEANS WANT PEACE, in which the aggression against Yugoslavia is most sharply condemned. So far, the appeal has been signed by 150 prominent individuals and 5 000 French citizens. The Greek's revolt against the unimaginable aggression of the US and its satellites on the sovereign and democratic Yugoslavia is constantly mounting.

Protest rallies were held in 14 Greek towns on Tuesday. Jews of Yugoslav origin and Yugoslav workers employed in Israel demonstrated for the fourth day in a row, this time in front of the French embassy in Tel Aviv, demanding an urgent cessation of the attacks on Yugoslavia. After the successful demonstrations in front of the American embassy in Harare, Yugoslav citizens in the capital of Zimbabwe continue their protest rallies in front of the diplomatic missions of western countries taking part in the shameful aggression against FR Yugoslavia.

***

Brussels city authorities on Tuesday banned the organization of demonstrations at which the citizens publicly condemned the brutal and unprovoked NATO aggression against sovereign FR of Yugoslavia.

The Mayor of Brussels, Francois Xavier de Donnea said that the holding of public events related to the crisis in Kosmet was banned until further notice. However, there is a mounting number of voices raised against the insane attacks against a people and an increasing number of initiatives, not only of the Yugoslav citizens, for the holding of mass protest rallies against NATO's barbarian attacks.

Macedonian Interior Minister Pavle Trojanov dressed the reservists in police uniforms so as to protect the aggressors' licentious soldiery - members of NATO from the rage of Macedonian citizens who are expressing their loyalty to Serbian people and Yugoslavia on numerous protest rallies.

In the cities, but also in the villages, citizens rally voicing their disagreement with the crime of Bill Clinton and his allies over the sovereign Yugoslavia, Tanjug reports.

The Romanies of Belgrade, some 90 thousand of us, embittered, but not frightened by NATO bombs, most energetically condemn NATO’s invasion of our country.

The orchestra of killers, conducted by Bill Clinton, is attempting to destroy small Yugoslavia. In this intention of his, he is wholeheartedly being assisted by another ten or so members of the Alliance. Those assisting him, unfortunately, include a number of states which cannot seem to learn the historical lesson that no one should touch the Serbs, especially not on their doorstep.

We Romanies, who are not "guests from nowhere" in this country, but have rather been building our houses in these regions for hundred of years, have no intention of allowing anyone to tear them down, be he as strong as America and NATO.

We placed ourselves at the disposal of our army and state leadership at the moment when air raid alert sirens were sounded in our country. For this reason, our message to all aggressors is:

Hands off our country, hands off Serbia and Yugoslavia.

For Serbia and Yugoslavia full of children’s laughter, the laughter of children of all nationalities.

Romanies of Belgrade.

On Tuesday again, political parties in Yugoslavia condemn the criminal Nato aggression against Yugoslavia.

'A state is as strong as its people. Our people have with their unity and morale and with the Yugoslav Army and Police at arms shown the most powerful military machine just how strong a state we really are. Contrary to the expectations of the Nato criminals, we will defend our country persistently and resolutely, said the Information Secretary of the Yugoslav Left's Directorate and the spokesman for the Yugoslav Left, Ivan Markovic. Today, the FR Yugoslavia and its citizens are at the front sight of the aggressors. We will continue our fight, but the whole world should also realize that it should also defend itself against the aggression. The simple reason for this is that tomorrow some other country will be the target of the aggressor', said Markovic. According to him, those who take our side in the resistance do not only defend their dignity in the historic sense, but also defend their citizens who will tomorrow be exposed to the same aggression in case they refuse to obey the orders issued by the perverted Bill Clinton, America, and the Nato alliance. The world must realize that. The Yugoslav Left believes that the resistance to the aggression on our country led by the world criminal Bill Clinton, completely reveals his political lies', said Markovic. He also stressed that the leaders of the separatist movement provoked clashes and exposed to suffering all the citizens of Kosovo-Metohija, and then fled the country.

Raise your voice against the crimes, violence, monstrosity, mendacity, and also against the corruption of the most sacred ideals without which this civilization will never be able to survive', says an appeal of the Yugoslav Left's Culture Committee addressed to the intellectuals, people of spirit and intelligence, and people of broad mind and good will of the world. The FR Yugoslavia is defending its basic right to survive. It is defending itself against the Albanian separatists who are killing both their fellow-nationals and the Serbs. It is defending itself from the Nato alliance's aggression which, through destructive actions, supports the separatists' goals with an aim of occupying the southern Serbian province.

Under the pretext of preventing an alleged humanitarian catastrophe, the Nato alliance has adopted the role of an ethnic Albanian terrorist military assistant and caused a real catastrophe of all ethnic communities living in the FR Yugoslavia, said the leader of the Serbian Renewal Movement, Vuk Draskovic. 'The Nato Alliance will have to answer for every refugee, Serb and Albanian, every demolished house, every victim since the beginning of the aggression against FR Yugoslavia', Vuk Draskovic said.

At issue is a classical type of aggression against a sovereign state and a crime against humanity, said Srdja Bozovic, the deputy leader of the Socialist People's Party of Montenegro. Demolished are schools, kindergartens, hospitals, and endangered lives of our children. Those who issued such orders will have to answer before the International Court of Justice, said Bozovic categorically.

The Kosovo Democratic Initiative, a political party of the Albanians loyal to the state in which they live, most sharply condemns the aggression of Nato's licentious soldiery on the FR Yugoslavia and at the same time assesses that the western criminal alliance has contributed to the terrorist inferno, the price for which is being paid by innocent people. A statement also says that the Nato aggressor has shown its real face, since its target are civilian facilities, economic potentials, and which is most saddening, the Yugoslav civilians. The Kosovo Democratic Initiative strongly believes that Serbia and Yugoslavia will muster the strength, just as on previous such occasions, to resist Nato killers and that terrorism in Kosovo-Metohija will be obliterated once and for all.

Yugoslav artist have unanimously condemned the Nato aggression against the FR Yugoslavia. First you will hear the appeal from a famous composer Zoran Hristic addressed to his western colleagues carried by the Politika daily of Belgrade.

The composer Zoran Hristic awarded with numerous Yugoslav and international awards, called on his western colleagues to point their attention to a completely different sound - the sound produced by the deadly aero-squadron. He called on the musicians of the world to recognize the sound which brings death to the people of an innocent nation, who, in the words of Zoran Hristic, does not accept the role of a scare-crow in a mendacity shop-window of the western politicians. 'Is it possible that the posterity of Ravell, Mozart, Beethowen would be willing to listen to the apocalypse of the political death quartet which my people have no choice but to hear?' asked the composer Hristic.

Also embittered by the Nato aggression on Yugoslavia is Darinka Matic Marovic, a professor at the Music Academy in Belgrade who has travelled world as a director of the 'Branko Krsmanovic' chorus. Addressing the world in the universal language of music we brought merriment to great many people, so that now I cannot bring myself to believe that those same exalted faces take us to be villains persecuting the innocent, so that we deserve to be taught a lesson. I have to believe that those same millions of people, even if they have been misled by the unscrupulous propaganda presented to them by the ruling political circles in their countries, stop thinking that the only language that we understand is the language of bombs and violence. Even these days will pass and someone will be made to blush for ever letting it come to this', says Darinka Matic Marovic in a statement to the Blic daily newspapers of Belgrade.

'One can hardly talk rationally of senselessness, said Mirjana Karanovic, one of the leading Yugoslav theater and film stars, adding that the current events in Yugoslavia prove that there are no such things as international laws, justice of right. In her own words, the only thing that exists is the enormous vanity of certain politicians, backed up by force. However, encouraging is the fact that the unity this nation has developed a new quality, and also that numerous protests against the Nato aggression are being held all over the world' said Mirjana Karanovic.

A large number of Yugoslav artists living abroad have raised their voices against the aggression of the Nato forces. Vladimir Velickovic, a famous painter currently living in Paris, testifies that in France more and more voices are heard saying that bombs can bring no good to anyone. 'I really never expected to see that the world pays no heed neither to an individual, nor to the most sacred values of the civilization' says Velickovic as quoted by Blic, adding that it is a shame that will burden the consciousness of the whole planet.

Theater director, Mira Erceg, has spent last couple of years in Berlin, assesses that day by day the democratic circles hold protest gatherings against the unacceptable behavior of the Nato alliance. She adds that she takes part in the rallies against the Nato aggression on FR Yugoslavia every day and that in those rallies at least half of the participants are Germans. She believes that Europe will, psychologically, not be able to stand the sight of the civilians killed and that in future its voice will be heard even louder.

The TV director, Stanko Crnobrnja, currently working in Switzerland, says that there are calls coming in from the friends and acquaintances all over the world expressing their protest and regret. To the majority of them it is clear what this is all about, - that at issue is an aggressive policy of the ruling people in their countries. All those who have consciousness, cannot sleep peacefully', stresses Crnobrnja.
