The
Temporary Executive Council of the AP of Kosovo and Metohija was established by the
Decision of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia of September 28, 1998, in
accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia. The Council has the same
competencies as the Government of the AP of Vojvodina, which means that it adopts the
program of economic, scientific, technological, demographic, regional and social
development and determines measures for its implementation.
The Temporary Executive Council shall perform that duty temporarily,
until the elections for the Assembly, the Executive Council and the Administrative Bodies
in Kosovo and Metohija.
The National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia nominated as President
of the Temporary Executive Council of Kosovo and Metohija Zoran Andjelkovic, minister in
the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
