system the entire body of internationally recognized human rights laws and regulations.
- The international treaties on human rights, signed and ratified by the FRY, represent an
integral part of its internal laws.
- The FR of Yugoslavia is a multiethnic, multilingual and multireligion country. One third
of the population of the FRY consists of national minorities.
- One third of the provisions of the Constitution of the FRY is devoted to human rights.
- A special part of the Second Chapter of the Constitution of the FRY regulates the rights
of the national minorities.
- The Constitution of the FRY guarantees the protection of human rights by the courts of
justice.
