NATO attacks Sloboda factory in Cacak
March 30, 1999

Cacak, Serbia, March 30 (Tanjug) - NATO aggressors launched another attack on the western Serbian town of Cacak at around 4 a.m. local time on Tuesday, firing seven missiles on the Sloboda factory and inflicting extensive damage on it.

There were no casualties in the attack in which windows on a large number of blocks of flats and other facilities in the town were shattered.

Fire fighters managed to extinguish numerous fires in the factory's compound before dawn on Tuesday.

Sloboda's Director General Radomir Ljujic told the local Galaksija television station that the industrial complex had been hit by seven missiles that had caused up to 15 metre-deep craters.

He said this was the real tragedy not only for Sloboda but also for the entire town.

This is the third attack by NATO aggressors on the town and its biggest factory that has 5,000 employees.

NATO attacked the town for the first time late on Friday but all three missiles were downed. The second attack was launched at dawn on Sunday when Sloboda's plants for special-purpose production were hit and considerable damage inflicted.
