SRBICA,02. April, 99,Tanjug - Serbian security forces in Srbica seized several thousand infantry and other weapons and answered attacks by Drenica terrorists over the past week, police sources in Srbica told Tanjug.

Vast quantities of arms were found in villages in the central region of Drenica, where there are no more terrorist bands.

Immediately following the NATO aggression on Yugoslavia, ethnic Albanian terrorist bands in villages in the Drenica region launched heavy attacks on police and the Yugoslav Army.

The biggest quantities of arms were found in central villages of the Drenica area - Gornji Prekaz, Donji Prekaz, Brocna, Izbica, Lausa, Likovac, Ljubac, Ovcarevo, Poljanac, Cirez, Dubovac, and some other villages that served as strong terrorist strongholds.

The actions of the Yugoslav security foresees put an end to the existence of the Drenica terrorist bands, that have committed numerous crimes since the beginning of last year - murders, wounding, and abductions of civilians, policemen and soldiers. The terrorists' victims were not only Serbs but also ethnic Albanians who were not on their side.

The most protected ethnic Albanian terrorist strongholds were Likovac and Ovcarevo. Those villages were also places of their commands and many abducted people were imprisoned there.

Members of the dispersed terrorist groups, individually or in small groups, are still wandering through the woods of Kosovo-Metohija trying to reach the Albanian border, police sources said.
