Meydani offers Albania April 02, 1999
Answering the question of the Liberation's journalist if Albania was able to send its troops to Yugoslavia, Meydani said yes. For all that, Meydani, except his troops, offers the logistic support - he proposes his whole country as the base for the NATO aggressors. Many in the world agreed, some willingly, some by force, to give up their military bases to the Alliance. As far as we know, Meiden is the only President in the world, who is ready to give up whole territory of his country to someone else. Meiden especially stresses that the borders of his country with Yugoslavia will remain open. This time, the Albanian President justifies the open borders by free passage for Albanian refugees. In fact, he encourages and calls as many as possible to come to Albania, and at the same time, appeals for more help from the International Community Meiden has two reasons for that. The first, by encouraging mass arrival of the refugees to Albania, he wants to escalate the aggression on Yugoslavia, especially coming the aggressor's NATO Ground Forces.
The second, by appealing for the humanitarian help he tries to solve the problems of his own people, who since his election for the President in 1997, have been living on the existence minimum.
