Using his ''metal drum of fascism'', Grass calls Europe to carry out even more unjust actions against Serbia and Yugoslavia. Blinded with hate, Grass doesn't see that Europe is for a long time in the neocolonialist relation with the USA, that it have lost its identity, that it fallow the trace of the American imperialistic policy whish represents the continuance of a fascistic tradition in new shape, he adds.

The anger of all people concerning the monstrous statement by Ginger Grass I can understand as well as their wish to wipe out every material trace of the existence of this novelist from their language, concludes Simic.
