Civilian targets hit again
April 18, 1999



Novi Sad, 17th April (Tanjug) - In the second attack tonight on the capital of Vojvodina, at about one o'clock NATO aircraft hit "Novi Sad" refinery with four missiles.

According to the witnesses, upon that a new great fire lit in the Refinery. So far, there is no information whether there are victims or wounded.

The second attack on Novi Sad also lasted for fifty minutes, while the number of airctaft was bigger than ever before.

Air defense of the Yugoslav Army acted practically without any break and thus prevented criminals to cause even bigger wrecking in Novi Sad.

The same was in the first attack which lasted between 22:15 and 23:05. During the first attack two missiles also hit "Novi Sad" refinery.


Belgrade, 18th April (Tanjug) - Strazevica hill near Rakovica was tonight with two missiles shot by NATO aviation.

From the beginning of the criminal NATO aggression on the FR of Yugoslavia on March 24, that part of Belgrade Municipality Rakovica was targeted for the seventh time. Great damages are recorded on civilian facilities.


Cacak, 17th April (Tanjug) - Just before midnight in Cacak were heard nine detonations. The first was at 23:39 and the last one 16 minutes later. All explosions were on the western side of the town and followed the flight of a big group of aggressor aircraft.

Air defense of the Yugoslav Army acted. Still unconfirmed data indicate that one missile was shot.


Pancevo, 17th April (Tanjug) - In the attack on Pancevo, tonight at 01:20 three industrial plants were hit: "Amonijak 3" in "Azotara" and plants in "Petrohemija" and Petrol Refinery.



The hit plants are in flame which is being extinguished by numerous fire brigades.
