Belgrade, 19th April 1999 (Tanjug) - The government building of Serbia's northern province of Voivodina, located in the heart of the provincial capital of Novi Sad, was hit by a projectile fired by an aggressor NATO aircraft at around 1:30 a.m. local time Sunday.

According to first reports, there were no casualties but damages are great.

At about the same time, aggressor NATO aircraft attacked the wider area of the northernmost Voivodina town of Subotica, where a strong explosion was heard near Lake Palic.

At around 1:27 a.m. local time, ten or so projectiles were fired at the northwestern part of the town of Paracin in the Pomoravlje region.

Only ten or so minutes later, the Obrenovac suburb Baric was attacked. Significant damages were reported, but no casualties.

Three explosions were heard in the Voivodina town of Sremska Mitrovica between 1:20-1:25 a.m. local time Sunday. No official reports are available for the time being about the enemy assault, but Tanjug has been told at the local emergency centre that targets on Mt. Fruska Gora were most likely attacked.

Several explosions were heard in the area of the village of Bogutovac at around 1:40 a.m. local time Sunday, after aggressor NATO aircraft overflew the town of Kraljevo. No reports are available about the targets of the attack, and possible casualties.

Four strong blasts were heard at around 10 p.m. local time Sunday in the Kosovo and Metohija capital of Pristina. It was the fourth attack on the city that day. NATO pilots fired two projectiles at, each, Slatina airport and the wider Goles area in the Lipljan municipality.
