US goal: crises of entire region
US goal: crises of entire region
Sofia, Apr 24 (Tanjug).- Charge d'Affaires of the Yugoslav embassy in Sofia Srecko Djukic told leading Sofia daily Trud Saturday that Bulgaria would face unpredictable and serious consequences if it were to grant unlimited use of its air space to the brutal NATO aggressors for the killing of a brotherly people.

This would be an act of complicity in the criminal NATO aggression on Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia has conveyed this view officially to the Bulgarian government, Djukic said.

Bulgaria's decision to grant an air corridor to NATO although its leaders had promised this would not happen will endanger the regional stability of which its government used to be so proud, Djukic said, adding the decision would definitely spread the crisis and war beyond the territory of the former Yugoslavia.

It is obvious now that this precisely was the principal US goal since the outset of the "Yugoslav crisis" Djukic said.

Bulgaria has not been under any military threat from Yugoslavia's territory throughout the brutal NATO aggression on Yugoslavia, Djukic said, and added that Yugoslavia wanted good-neighborly relations with Bulgaria despite all challenges it is facing
