The real cause of the aggression on Yugoslavia
September 23, 2000

NATO wanted war at all cost
NATO wanted war at all cost
Berlin, September 22nd - A retired German general, Heinz Lockwei, is quoted as saying that the true reason for last year's NATO aggression on Yugoslavia was that, by attacking Serbs, NATO wished to emplace its new strategy and that the cause was not any alleged violation of Kosovo-Metohija Albanians' human rights.

"NATO wanted to play it safe - to chose a small, puny nation on which to demonstrate its 'credibility' and pave the way for a new global strategy", Lockwei said speaking for Berlin's Neues Deutschland newspaper. The German general said it was no wonder that US President Bill Clinton on March 24th, 1999, the day the air strikes began, stressed NATO's 'credibility' rather than a "humanitarian catastrophe" as the reason for the aggression on Yugoslavia.
