Kumi to Settle Internaly Displaced Peoples from LRA Activities in Katakwi

RESIDENTS of Kumi district have resolved to absorb people fleeing from LRA
rebels in Katakwi into their homes instead of creating settlement camps for the
displaced (IDPs).
Kumi district disaster committee chairperson Rose Ochom said Kumi people had
also volunteered to provide the IDPs with food but warned that this would not
be enough.
