Governor Bukola Saraki who gave the declaration at a dinner organised by the Ilorin Emirate Forum called on elites and other pressure groups in the state to collaborate with his administration to banish cultism from institutions. In his message to the dinner through the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Alhaji Saka Abimbola Isau, the governor vowed that no rod shall be spared nor shall any sacred cow be entertained in order to restore the glory of education in the state. He hinted that security agencies have been empowered to ensure that the war against cultism is a must win, "academic studies and cultism cannot co-habit. One must give way to the other and as long as we are in government, it is no to cultism in schools and among our youths".
