[allAfrica.com] [stanbic.com] 50 Military Vehicles for Defense Ministry Concord Times (Freetown) NEWS December 10, 2004 Posted to the web December 10, 2004 By Tanu Jalloh Freetown Deputy Defence Minister, Joe Blell disclosed Monday that Netherlands has donated 50 military vehicles worth 2 million Euros to the Ministry of Defence. He says the gesture would help the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) in its restructuring exercise. "The RSLAF needs logistical support to enhance its restructuring process and capability to handle the country's security," he said, adding that by 2007, government would reduce the size of the army to10, 500 personnel. Canadian Deputy Chief of Defence Staff, Vice Admiral Maddison says Canada is helping the RSLAF to become a standard and disciplined force.
