Islamic Teacher Seized in New War On Terror

An Islamic teacher has been arrested in the renewed war on terrorism, the
Nation learnt yesterday.
The suspect, an Algerian, was arrested in Mombasa by the Kenya Anti-Terrorism
Police Unit on Wednesday, a close relative said.
According to him, the officers searched the suspect's house in Bondeni before
whisking him away. The suspect had lived in Kenya for the last 10 years.
The squad also reportedly visited a college where the suspect taught, conducted
a search and took away some documents.
A senior police officer confirmed the arrest and said the suspect had been
flown to Nairobi for further interrogations.
