This was revealed by the Commander of the 811 Brigade of DRC, Lt. Col. Richard Muguura, while addressing Ugandan journalists at Kasindi-Congo on Monday. This was shortly after he had received 86 Congolese refugees and troops which had crossed into Uganda. Among the Congolese refuges repatriated to their country included 14 soldiers, 13 police officers, 27 children, 25 women and three men. The refugees, who fled when a fierce fight broke out between the DRC troops and the rebels, had settled in Kisoro district. "We recovered several arms and ammunition and handed them to Monuc. We are preparing to hand over the captives to the government of Uganda," Muguura said. He said DRC forces had captured four ADF camps of Mwalika, Bundiguya, Kicumbamuro and Kamango. Muguura said the Congolese forces are determined to eliminate ADF rebels operating in Congo. The Monuc Senior Military Liason Officer, Col. G.M. Mosterf, witnessed the handing over of the refugees.
