Islamists to Train Students for Preparation of War

The Islamic Courts headquartered in Mogadishu have for the first time announced
they would open training camps for Mogadishu's public school pupils for
preparation of holy war against the foreign peacekeepers expected to arrive in
Somalia early October.
Fu'ad Mohammed Kalaf, the head of the Islamc Courts education section, said,
"We are in process of readying the students to engage in the "jihad" war and we
have opened training camps for the students in Mogadishu", said Fu,ad.
He stated that senior Islamic Courts heads are consulting with the different
education umbrellas in Mogadishu over the way to execute the sketch to recruit
and train the students after their exam term vacation.
"As a Muslim It is an obligation on every Somali person to defend his religion
and country against the aggressive invaders", said Fu'ad, adding that the
Islamists and the educational board had concurred on the issue of training the
students during their vacation period.
Asked about his reaction over the closure of cinemas showing Western, Indian
movies and sports and the ban on one of the privately owned local FM stations
for broadcasting love songs, Fu,ad refused to go on length about the issue,
claiming there are more dangerous things before the Islamic Courts that need to
be handled.
