[allAfrica.com] Movement of Socialist Democrats (MDS) Calls for Closing Ranks Against Threat of Terrorism Tunisia Online (Tunis) NEWS February 27, 2007 Posted to the web February 28, 2007 Tunis , During a meeting held at Kasserine, the Secretary General of the Movement of Socialist Democrats, one of Tunisia 's eight opposition parties stressed the need for all Tunisians, as well as MDS members to close ranks against the threat of terrorism and preserve the security and stability which prevail in the country. Mr Ismail Boulehya also said that in response to the call made by the Head of State in his speech on November 7, 2006 to deepen reflection on Tunisia 's current trends, as well as its future prospects, his party had started issuing recommendations and guidelines in this respect. Mr Boulehya also underscored the part played by political parties and the challenges ahead which "command us to make more efforts to achieve the national objectives defined in the tenth plan so as to boost growth in the country."
