Leaders of East Sudan Front Commend Govt's Constructive Role in Promoting
Comprehensive Peace Process in Sudan

The leaders of East Sudan Front commended Eritrea's constructive role in
promoting comprehensive peace process in Sudan, particularly in peacefully
resolving the East Sudan issue.
The leaders make the statement at a farewell dinner reception hosted by the
PFDJ at Embasoira Hotel last night. Speaking on the occasion, the Head of
Organizational Affairs at the PFDJ, Mr. Abdalla Jabir, congratulated the East
Sudan Front for becoming a new political party. He stated that this represents
a first step and that more tasks lie ahead for the Front to accomplish. The
PFDJ official also expressed conviction that all possible challenges would be
tackled through common effort.
Also speaking on the occasion, the Chairman of the East Sudan Front, Mr. Mussa
Mohammed Ahmed, said that the care and mediation role which the people and
Government of Eritrea played in ensuring comprehensive peace in Sudan is
immense and greatly appreciated by the Sudanese people. He further asserted
that the Front would diligently work to strengthen the long-standing relations
between the two peoples.
Ms. Amna Dirar, Sudanese Presidential Advisor and Deputy Chairman of the East
Sudan Front, and Dr. Mebruk Mubarak Selim, Minister in the Sudanese Government
of National Unity and Secretary of the East Sudan Front, also delivered similar
speeches.
Mr. Mussa Mohammed Ahmed presented the emblem of the East Sudan Front on behalf
of the Front to the Government of Eritrea, as well as gifts to President Isaias
Afwerki and other government and PFDJ officials for their contribution to
ensure that the East Sudan peace process attain the desired target.
