The Government of Eritrea has closely followed the special meeting of the Arab
League held on 12 June 2008 that was represented by permanent representatives
with the view of discussing current developments of the Eritrean-Djiboutian
border and the unbalanced and biased decision it passed that does not reflect
the realities and facts on the ground and was surprised to say the least.

The decision passed by the Arab League regarding facts on the ground gives a
distorted image and information both in letter and spirit and the Government of
Eritrea expresses its discontent.
