It is the third day since several dozens of women from Vedeno District have been continuing to picket the entrance on the premises of the puppet structures’ complex.

The protesters are demanding that residents of the village of Mahkety: Vakha Hochayev, Hasan Elbuzdukayev and Sultan Abubakarov are released. Early in the morning on August 15 these three men were taken away by unknown armed men in camouflage uniforms.

Interfax received this information from deputy chief of the puppet structures Ahmed Dakayev.
On the first day of the picket the representatives of the protesters were allegedly received by the secretary of the so-called security council Rudnik Dudayev.
But still, they did not stop rallying because the result has not been achieved.

Moscow extended 'Chechen terms' for Russian police troops

Russian regional press, like Magnitogorsk periodicals, reported that the term of the so-called «mission» to the war in Chechnya has been increased from three to six months. Meanwhile nothing on that fact was reported by Russian central mass media. The extension of the «Chechen term» for special police forces (OMON) has already caused some protests among their families. Thus, the families of mercenaries in Magnitogorsk and Zlatoust for instance have demanded that the authorities bring their husbands back from Chechnya at the end of three months as it was specified in the contracts.

Apparently, the extension of terms of presence of Russian mercenary police troops in occupied Chechnya has a lot to do with the increase of tensions in Ichkeria and with serious increase of operations by Chechen guerilla groups. Another reason why the term has been extended is the lack of human resources to counteract the activities of the Mujahideen, in spite of the fact that there are from 150,000 to 200,000 invaders’ troops stationed in Chechnya, according to various figures.
