The
authorities have warned that people would be searched with metal
detectors at the polling stations. Moreover, all cars parked near
polling stations will be towed. And this is exactly what happened. It
is called increased security measures. It is called the re-election of
Putin, the main fighter against terrorism.
Let
me remind that four years ago, when he came to power on the crest of
the wave of mass hysteria after the blasts of apartment buildings in
Moscow, a modest KGB operative promised to put an end to evil, - to
terrorism. And the war in the Caucasus
has already been raging for over four years. Over two hundred thousand
Chechen peaceful civilians died, hundreds of thousands were maimed or
became refugees, and the number of terrorist acts in Russia has increased more than TEN times! And these are only the interim results of Putin’s 'counterterrorist operation'.
And now he is getting reelected for the second term, and it looks like his bloody appetites are only increasing.
So,
four years of nothing but victories, virtually all 'gangs' have been
defeated, all known 'terrorists' eliminated (and a whole bunch of
little known ones like Bidiyev, - the last name made up by the Russian
propaganda. The name actually means something like 'Shithead', which
Russians did not know). According to Russian colonel Shabalkin
(spokesman for the war in the Caucasus),
peaceful life and prosperity are coming back, but you have to be
frisked if you want to go and vote for dear beloved V. Putin. What the
heck is going on?
The more there is fight against terrorism going on, the more terrorism there is out there, is that what it is?
Geography of the war is expanding. Now war operations are carried out not only on the territory of Ichkeria,
but also in Kabardino-Balkaria, Ingushetia, and the other day the
police and Internal Troops were fighting against a unit of Mujahideen
in Stavropol, Southern Russia. The war is spreading across the region, and there is no end to it. Why?
The
society is silent. The society prefers not to hear and not to know
anything about this terrible war, which is destructive for Russia
first of all. The society naively figures that it is somewhere far away
and that this war will not affect any single one of us individually.
But there is less and less assurance in personal security, and now the
Muscovites are afraid of large gatherings, they keep cautiously looking
around when they get into subway cars, and they rush aside from
unattended lost purses. How are the authorities reacting to that? In an
idiotic way, as usual.
Last
week they showed a TV program about how regular police units are
trained to fight against terrorism and expose potential suicide
bombers. Apparently, the secret services got carried away with
international terrorist acts (assassination of Mr. Yandarbiyev) so much
that they are no longer entrusted to do anything in their country. So,
in that program they said that the distinctive features of a modern
terrorist are: a hooked nose, black clothes and Caucasus accent.
Stupid?
Funny? Sad? It is, but it is not just plain Russian sad and funny
stupidity. It is the policies. Deliberate policies of the KGB regime to
inspire controlled fear in the country by using controlled terrorist
acts and to create an image of an unbending hero from the KGB, who is
the only one ready to oppose terrorism and to run the situation using
his KGB interests, while taking an advantage of civilian powerlessness.
That is, to control anything: redistribute whatever lies in a wrong
place, remove anybody who gets in the way, and lock up anybody who
dares to get smart with you. At the same time the press must shut up,
after it all of a sudden started thinking it was independent. And if it
doesn’t want to shut up, then it must become a subject of «dispute of
two business entities», and the thinking moldy part (excuse me,
stratum…) of the society must be forced into the ranks of the new party
– you know the name of that party (United Russia).
That’s
what would have happened. But our people are too smart and figured this
whole thing out pretty quick. This is where a gloomy proverb came from
right after the notorious 'Training exercise' in Ryazan
(when FSB got caught planting explosives in an apartment building):
«Vova (short for Vladimir), we will get you elected, just don’t blow us
up anymore!» And they did. And now they even got him reelected.
But
'don’t blow us up' is not going to work. The genie broke out of the KGB
basements in Lubyanka long time ago and is now wandering around at
large. He is now planting mines in commuter trains and transporting
five-kilogram TNT combat explosives. That’s true – the more there is
fight against terrorism going on, the more terrorism there is out
there. What else are you supposed to be fighting against? Where else
additional subsidies, authorities, ranks, promotions and other pleasant
benefits of the government service will come from?
That’s
what would have happened. Had it not been for one sad thing for the
KGB. They chose the wrong people for their inhuman training exercises.
They shouldn’t have started the war with the Chechen people. Down there
the people did not understand the statewide, global and patriotic
meaning of these policies and started responding to each punitive raid
with quite specific acts of sabotage.
Turned
out that you can blow up an apartment building just anywhere and thus
make the rating of the main terrorist go way up. But not in Chechnya.
Instead of a ballot you can only get a landmine down the road or a
grenade flying into the window of the elections committee. That’s not Russia, dear KGB.
Genocide
cannot remain unanswered. You can’t be feeling secure while fighting
with the people. By supporting and approving of this war and voting for
it, Russians are dooming their own selves to living in constant fear
before the just and inevitable retribution. Therefore, when going to
vote for the war, (and Putin’s elections is voting for the war), you
Russians must be ready to be frisked, ready for your noses to be
measured and for your accent checked to see whether you are involved in
terrorism. And this is only the beginning.
During
the next elections of Putin you will be lying in the snow with your
face down, with your legs wide spread and come up to the ballot box one
by one, on the order. This is your choice.
