The Kremlin has exhausted all reserves of fantasy

The predictability of all leads of the Russian authorities with respect to the appearance of Basayev's interview strikes the imagination. Not every TV broadcast is accompanied by the advertising campaign in the form of four counter statements of the Foreign Ministries of two states.

At first, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the world about the forthcoming interview with Shamil Basayev on British TV Channel 4 News, having delivered a diplomatic note to the local authorities containing a complaint about the channel. Then, being puzzled, - is it possible that in the civilized country the authorities cannot interfere in the activities of TV channel? – the Kremlin accused the European country of pandering to the terrorists.

After such announcements and advertising, it was impossible to refrain from watching the interview. However, having watched the interview, the audience was disappointed. In his interview to the British journalists, Shamil Basayev did not say anything new, something that he had not told in his previous interviews. Beginning with the list of most odious ringleaders involved in kidnappings of the civilians and now holding high-rank posts in the FSB and Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the occupation structures of the puppet regime, and ending with his usual warning that no peace is possible with Moscow until the Russian occupation troops leave Chechnya .

But that was the first impression. The novelty is that Basayev told the entire world that what is known to every Chechen, but is unknown to the so-called international community. The given interview has outstripped itself and began to live its own life, which cannot be separated from the hysterics that has been opened wide by the Russian side.

The interview, not taking into consideration the Kremlin's reaction, is the same as a wedding party without an accordion. What is so threatening in it for the Russian authorities?

First, Basayev has lightened the labor of the parliamentary commissions investigating the events in Beslan, having pointed out that the reason for the tragedy is in the terrorist war waged by Russia against the Chechen people.

Second, he repeated the principal “antiterrorist” request addressed to the Russian authorities that has been repeated many and many times for the last eleven years – to stop genocide of the Chechen people.

This very claim addressed to Putin for the last time was heard before the jet crash and Beslan siege and it seemed quite “vegetarian”. Shamil Basayev then did not request of the Russians to stop the war, he called on the Russians at least to observe the rules of the international law and their own Russian laws!

Therefore, it was a call addressed to the Russian side no to kill, not to kidnap, not to torture and terrorize the civilian population of Chechnya, not to commit war crimes, and to fight against the armed Chechen Mujahideen, the same claims were raised with regard to the Chechen side – to fight against the occupants, observing the rules of the international law.

Putin's response to this appeal was a terrorist act in the territory of Qatar and the murder of Zelimkhan Yandarbiyev.

Did not Putin think that the response reaction to the Qatari terrorist act and other crimes committed by the occupants in the territory of Chechnya would touch the population of Russia ? Of course, he thought, but his actions were not guided by the concern for his compatriots – he was worried about his responsibility for his own crimes and it was his only desire to drown them in even more blood.

Putin's Foreign Ministry is afraid of a word. It has turned out that Basayev, having declared about a armistice, i.e. not fighting but speaking Basayev is much more dangerous to Putin and his supporters than a fighting Basayev.

What's the worth of the chekists' barefaced lie that the hostage takers in the Beslan school allegedly did not raise any claims at all, and it was their only intention to kill the children.

There were claims, and again, the claims were the same – to stop the genocide of the Chechen people. That is the source of such a reaction on the part of the Russians, even several months later, trying to hide the fact Putin preferred to kill the children to the termination of the terrorist war and ordered to storm the schools.

The reaction of the Russian side on the interview of Basayev was predictable, but the hysterics has astonished even the worldly-wise observers. So, they invented nothing out of the way but virtually “killed” Basayev once again.

The conduct of the Russian side reminds of the condition of a sick man, who realizes the uselessness of the prescribed medicines and swallows drugs to find relief and to become disconnected with the reality.

There is no point in repeating and analyzing the pearls of Russian politicians and propagandists concerning the interview of Basayev and his virtual death or unhealthy kidneys. To all appearances, the Russian side, having exhausted not only all reasonable arguments but also all reserves of fantasy, resorted to autosuggestion. We only have to found the Shabalkin Prize and invite the laureates once a week.
